In your browser, language pack XPIs need to be downloaded with "Save Link As..." and installed manually. If this page was loaded in Betterbird via Search for more languages, you can install a language pack with a single click.

(*) Important Notes for Mac Users:
Mac builds are not notarised. Follow these instructions to run them.
Alternatively, for pre-Sequoia systems up to Sonoma 14, you can run:
spctl --add /Applications/Betterbird.app in a terminal (Source).
For any system, including Sequoia 15 and up, you can run:
xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Betterbird.app.
Note that spctl --add is no longer available under Sequoia. It's possible that pre-Sequoia Silicon systems also need the xattr command. This will fix the following errors:
"Betterbird.app" is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the Trash.
"Betterbird.app" Not Opened - Apple could not verify "Betterbird.app" is free of malware that may harm your Mac or compromise your privacy.
